Assembly Instructions For The Haliburton Portable Spa.
Leicester Hot Tub Hire use the Haliburton Portable Spa for hire all year round, its easy to assemble with no specialist tools required and will take approx 20/25 minutes if you study the assembly instructions before starting.
Step 1 - Open the box

Your Haliburton "Spa-in-a-box" is delivered right to your door in a great big cardboard box. If you'd like to see what you will be getting refer to " Whats In The Box "
Once you have opened the box, remove all the components and spread them out on the floor in front of you. Refer to the enclosed " Parts Checklist "to identify the spa components.
Top Tip: As everything is delivered in one box, it is quite heavy. Open the big box and take the individual items out one at a time.
Step 2 - Place the spa Underpad

Decide where you want to place your spa and lay the Underpad on the floor in that position. You can see Troy has decided to put his on a wooden decking. Whilst this is nice, it's not really necessary. You can put it pretty much anywhere you like so long as the surface is flat and hard.

It's quite hard to read on the www site I know but your spa is approx 225cm (7 foot 5 inches) from the Mothership (Rectangle on the left) to the edge of the spa at the far right. The spa bath itself is approx 207cm (about 6 foot 9 inches).
Step 3 - Assemble the spa Skirt

Place one section of the spa Skirt along the edge of the Spa Underpad. Slide Corner beams onto each side of the Skirt. Continue attaching Skirts and Corner Beams until seven sides of the spa are in place. The eighth side of the spa is where the Mothership will be located.
Top Tip: Before proceeding any further be sure that this is where you wish to locate your Mothership. Also, note, to allow access to the Mothership, the Mothership Top Panel will open sliding outwards, away from the spa. You must allow for an additional 60cm for the Mothership Top Panel to be slid fully open.
Step 4 - Extension Beams

Slide Extension Beams into Spa Corner Beams so that grooved edge is facing outwards.
Step 5 - Triangular Extension Beams

Slide Triangular Extension Beams into Extension Beams so that grooved edge is facing outwards.
Step 6 - Mothership Front Panel

Slide Mothership Front Panel into the eighth side of the spa so that it rests on the Triangular Extension Beams.
Step 7 - Mothership Corner Panel

Slide Mothership Corner Beams onto either side of the Mothership Rear Panel
Step 8 - First Mothership Side Panel

Slide Mothership Side Panel – Left into both the outward groove of the Extension Beam on the eighth side of the spa, and the Mothership Corner Beam already attached to the Mothership Rear Panel (Step 7). This will form two sides of the Mothership housing unit.
Step 9 - Place Mothership in housing unit

Place the Mothership into the Mothership housing unit so that the two air pipes fit easily through the designated holes.
BEFORE PROCEEDING ANY FURTHER
- Hand tighten the two black unions on either side of the heater.
- Hand tighten the red air valve and the hose cap.
- Pull T valve to fully open position to allow water flow.
Step 10 - Second Mothership Side Panel

Repeat Step 8 with the Mothership Side Panel – Right. This will enclose the Mothership housing unit.
Step 11 - Corner Beams

Press the Corner Beam Caps (Item L) into the exposed groove of the Corner Beams, ensuring that the metal snap is nearest the top of the spa.

Press the Extension Beam Caps into the exposed groove of the Extension Beams.
Step 12 - Foam Comfort Rails

Place Foam Comfort Rails around the top of the spa skirts.
Step 13 - Spa Liner

Place the Liner inside the spa. Stretch the coloured portion of the Liner over the Foam Comfort Rails and snap onto the metal snaps on the Corner Beam Caps.
Once all eight snaps have been fixed, you may have to readjust the Foam Comfort Rails so they sit squarely on top of the Skirt. Do this by undoing each snap, repositioning the Foam, and redoing each snap, one at a time.
Step 14 - Mothership fittings

Connect the Mothership fittings to the pipes protruding from the Liner. Be sure that the rubber gaskets are in place on the Mothership fittings. Hand tighten only, holding each pipe steady and twisting only the fittings.
Step 15 - Aromatherapy

Connect the Aromatherapy Loop to the Mothership fittings protruding from the Mothership Side Panel – Left. Hand tighten only.
Step 16 - Digital Control Unit
Remove the clear adhesive tape from the face of the Digital Control Unit and fit it into the slot on the Mothership Top Panel with the cable extending through the opposite side of the panel.
Step 17 - Connect Digital Control Unit
Connect the telephone jack into the receiver located underneath the heater on the mothership.
Top Tip: This picture was taken using a Canadian version of the spa. For the UK version the connection for the Digital Control Panel is actually hangs down underneath the silver heater box and looks like a BT extension socket.
Step 18 - Mothership Top Panel

Slide the Mothership Top Panel into place on top of the Mothership housing unit.
Step 19 - Air Vents

Place Air Vent Covers over cut out holes on the inside and outside of the Mothership housing unit.
Step 20 - "Fill her up!"

Fill the spa with water from your garden hose to approximately 5cm.
Push the bottom edges of the Liner tight to the Skirt to remove any wrinkles in the Liner. Continue filling to approximately 15cm from the top of the Foam Comfort Rails.
Only once the spa is filled with water should you plug it in. Plug the spa into a standard electrical socket. Do not use an extension cord.
This is also a good time to fill your Water Pillows.
Step 21 - Add Aromatherapy Sachet

Remove the cap on the Aromatherapy Loop and place your favourite scented Aromatherapy sachet inside. Replace the cap and hand tighten.
Top Tip: Don't tighten the cap too much - if you leave it a little bit loose you will get more scent coming through into the water.
Step 22 - Adjust the temperature

Adjust the temperature control on the spa to desired setting.
Top Tip: Don't make it too hot or you won't be able to stay in the spa very long. It is surprising how warm you get. I suggest that 38 is plenty warm enough for most people.
Step 23 - Attach Filter

Attach the Filter/Skimmer to the filter pipe in the spa, twisting to ensure a snug fit.
Step 24 - Add Chemicals

Treat your spa with chemicals as per instructions.
Step 25 - Put Insulated Safety Cover on

Place Insulated Safety Cover on the spa. Screw Safety Clasps directly into Corner Beams using locking straps to locate Safety Clasp position.
Step 26 - Wait for Spa to heat

It should take around 24 hours for the spa to get up to working temperature.
NOTE: The Insulated Safety Cover must be in place for the spa to heat.
Step 27 - Draining the Spa
